- Wikipedia provides a good overview of polyamory.
- Franklin's polyamory FAQ at Xero Magazine
- Polyamory.org has a lot of
resources about polyamory. These include FAQs, mailing lists,
information about local poly meetups, and a compilation of essays and
books that address polyamory or non-monogamy.
- Pepper Mint's webpage, which
has in-depth essays about polyamory and related topics.
- The polyamory livejournal community
provides an anonymous forum where people can talk about polyamory.
Members often solicit advice about their polyamorous lifestyles and get
a lot of useful feedback.
- OkCupid is a poly-friendly dating and social networking site.
Bay Area Polyamory Resources:
- A
mailing list for poly people in the Bay Area. Mailing list
members discuss polyamory-related topics and post information
about local poly events. However, most of the people who attend
these events are an older demographic.
- A
mailing list for poly people in the Bay Area who are 25 or under.
It is intended to facilitate discussions, to help coordinate social
activities and other get-togethers, and to provide resources about
polyamory.
- A recurring polyamorous
speed dating event which takes place in Berkeley.
- The poly under-40 coffeehouse social. It takes place in San
Francisco starting at 6pm on the 3rd Monday of every month. It's
open to anyone under 40 years old, though most people are in their
late 20s or early 30s. Around 30 people of all sorts show up,
including university students, parents, and BDSM enthusiasts.
The coffeeshop, Muddy Waters, is located at 521 Valencia St. between
16th and 17th Streets. For more information, contact Pepper at

- A poly-friendly
list of professionals, including doctors and therapists, organized
by location.
- The Gender Equity Center
is a collection of student organizations at UC Berkeley which
support LGBT, women, and victims of hate crimes or relationship
violence. The Gender Equity Center provides many gender- or sexuality-related
resources and events, and they sometimes hold workshops about
how to have healthy relationships.
